LOVE RISING FROM THE ASHES

The band’s sound began to evolve in 2016 with the addition of Robertito “El Rubio del Bajo” Gonzalez, whose unique bass style enriched the group’s music and laid a solid foundation for their evolving sound. Roberto’s journey from self-taught musician to student under renowned mentors like George Latorre and Bryan Colgan reflects his dedication to musical excellence and creative growth.

By 2019, the ensemble expanded further with the arrival of Henry Hernandez on drums and Pierre Arnau on piano and synth. Henry, who began his musical exploration at age 11, brought a wealth of knowledge from his studies at the Conservatory of Puerto Rico and the NYC Drummers Collective University. His diverse skill set has been instrumental in shaping the band’s sound and songwriting process. Pierre, with experience from the internationally touring reggae band Fourth Dimension, infused Evans Rising with a vibrant reggae flair, broadening their musical repertoire and appeal.A New Wave of Talent

In 2022, the band welcomed Jose “Joe” Perales and Deo Budnevich. Jose’s eclectic taste and versatility across various musical styles enriched the group’s sound, while Deo, the youngest member, brought fresh energy and a wealth of experience from performing with renowned acts like King Buffalo and Mack Sabbath. Deo’s performances at prestigious events such as the "Make-a-Wish" gala, alongside iconic artists like Diana Ross and Sting, highlighted his exceptional talent and adaptability.
